Growing up in the hill country of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Mike quickly found a passion for the outdoors. In the valley of Owl Hollow is where it all began. Learning how to appreciate the land and all that it has to offer played a huge role in his childhood while spending time on the family hunting land "The Hollow" with his dad.

Mike created his first turkey call with his dear friend and neighbor Stanley at the age of 18. While sharing a cup of coffee in Stanleys garage Mike noticed a pile of scrap wood and a lathe, he decided to give it a try. When the call was finished it sounded horrible, but it drove Mike to create a better sounding call and more efficient design. 

Mike pursued a career in forestry and graduated from college with an associates degree in forest technology. After college he found work in a local sawmill and used his knowledge of locally produced lumber to create high quality game calls. 

After a few years at the mill, Mike saw an opportunity to produce and sell quality game calls that fellow hunters could use for years to come, to harvest the same game he lives to pursue himself. At that moment, Owl Hollow Game Calls was born with the intent of selling handcrafted game calls to sportsman across the country to help them succeed in the woods and keep the great tradition of hunting alive. To Mike Owl Hollow Game Calls is more than a game call business. Owl Hollow is a place that Mike holds very near and dear to his heart and hopes to share that with every call.
